Motion Design Academy – Mastering Houdini on a new level: The Symbiote Creature

Creating a crawling Symbiote creature in Houdini
In this course, you will learn how to utilize different Houdini contexts to create a complex alien creature locomotion system. We will dive deep inside the Vellum and FEM solvers in order to achieve realistic softbody movement and wrinkles, as well as liquid slime made with FLIP solver.

What you will learn:
Advanced Houdini softbody simulations
Working with several solvers in a symbiotic manner

Using different Houdini contexts to generate needed elements for a complete simulation
Creating variable viscosity slime generated by the monster

Prerequisites
The primary requirement for this course is intermediate experience in Houdini software, particularly with different solvers, the SOP context and fundamentals of 3D rendering.
