01 – About The Course
Two of the most important parts of modern web development are the management of your production code base and being able to reliably know when new releases are not working as expected. And in this course, I’ll teach you to do both.
We’ll start off by talking about the way we used to release software – manually- and why learning to automate your deployments will give you a leg-up in both the workplace and the job market. We’ll look at the pitfalls and cons of manual deployments before moving on to a cornerstone of Continuous Integration (CI) – writing manageable code.
Next, we’ll create a new project, learn about Git source control, and learn about publishing to Azure App Services.
In Section 2 we’ll create our first project in Visual Studio, take a look at the principles of CI before setting up a CI pipeline; and in Section 5, we’ll go through some additional tools and what the next step in your learning path might be.

How to create and manage an Azure Web App
How to configure continuous integration with Azure DevOps (Visual Studio Team Services)
How to avoid integration complications in the code base
How to create a new Git repository in Visual Studio.
