Alex Nice is a professional Illustrator, Art Director, and entertainment industry veteran with over 15 years of experience creating high-end visuals for film and television. As a member of the Art Directors Guild, Alex currently works in the Art Department as a Concept Illustrator collaborating with Directors and Production Designers to visualize ideas in the beginning stages of production. Originally trained in fine art and Illustration, other skills include managing art teams, Virtual Reality for set-design, matte painting, and creating film-quality visuals with a strong focus on storytelling.

With a background as a 2D artist and 3D generalist, Alex delivers designs from concept to final while maintaining a global focus on quality. His versatility in software and broad artistic style has allowed him to create some of the fantastically epic and photo-real shots for Hollywood’s biggest features and VR’s most immersive experiences. Alex thrives in high stress environments and particularly enjoys interactively working with storytellers to bring their ideas to life.

Alex’s most recent work was as Senior Concept Illustrator on John Wick 3 at Lionsgate, Hulu’s The First, Kung Fury 2, Snowpiercer (2019), and an unannounced feature for FOX Studios. Before that, he was Art Director at Magnopus in downtown Los Angeles where he worked on multiple film and VR productions for clients that included Disney, Lionsgate, Facebook/Oculus, and NASA.

Other past films include: Jungle Book, Hunger Games, Beasts of No Nation, Sin City, Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Oblivion, Pacific Rim, Elysium, Tron Legacy, Amazing Spider-man and Hugo.
