English | Size: 193.51 MB (202,911,941 Bytes)
Category: CBTs

For many of us, software development started as a hobby, but now that we’re doing it full time, we need to look at what it means to be a professional software developer. To do this, we’ll examine some key areas that have parallels in other professions. We’ll look to improve our industry with lessons learned in other industries. In the end, the goal of the course is to show how development can be done in a professional manner, and why it’s important to do so. [Read more…]

In this course, we are going to cover nearly everything there is to know about advanced functions and modules. Overall, this course can be broken down into six main components: differences between basic and advanced functions, advanced functions and how to build them, leveraging the PowerShell pipeline in your advanced functions, how to build safeguards into your functions with WhatIf and Confirm support, building and managing script and manifest modules, and, finally, writing help content for both your advanced functions and modules.

The knowledge which you will learn from this course is literally a weapon. My goal is to make you a better warrior in penetration testing. Consider the consequences of your actions, be smart and don’t go to jail.

“Assume your target is running unpatched Windows XP, Anti-Virus is disabled, firewall is turned off, IPS is not in place then you may (or not) get into their system !!” Does that sound like a real world penetration testing for you?

Learn Flowcharting and Pseudocode. Be a better programmer!

English | Size: 415.71 MB (435,903,155 Bytes)
Category: Tutorial

This is a generic course, meaning you will not write source code in any specific programming language. You will learn to use pseudocode and flow charts, two major tools that all programmers can use in any programming language. Pseudocode is simple. You just write out the steps to be taken to perform any task, no matter how big or small. Flow charts do essentially the same thing using software that creates a visual chart showing accurately the flow of the process and the specific steps needed to accomplish your goal. Specific shapes are used to represent the type of action to be taken. It won’t be long before you become proficient at using both of these great programmer’s tools. (Flowcharting software is NOT required for this class. If you have Microsoft PowerPoint or Visio, you can use either of those. If not, your instructor will recommend a number of FREE and affordable software applications.) [Read more…]

How can we capture the unpredictable evolutionary and emergent properties of nature in software? How can understanding the mathematical principles behind our physical world help us to create digital worlds? This book focuses on a range of programming strategies and techniques behind computer simulations of natural systems, from elementary concepts in mathematics and physics to more advanced algorithms that enable sophisticated visual results. Readers will progress from building a basic physics engine to creating intelligent moving objects and complex systems, setting the foundation for further experiments in generative design. Subjects covered include forces, trigonometry, fractals, cellular automata, self-organization, and genetic algorithms. The book’s examples are written in Processing, an open-source language and development environment built on top of the Java programming language. [Read more…]
