Learn Flowcharting and Pseudocode. Be a better programmer!

English | Size: 415.71 MB (435,903,155 Bytes)
Category: Tutorial

This is a generic course, meaning you will not write source code in any specific programming language. You will learn to use pseudocode and flow charts, two major tools that all programmers can use in any programming language. Pseudocode is simple. You just write out the steps to be taken to perform any task, no matter how big or small. Flow charts do essentially the same thing using software that creates a visual chart showing accurately the flow of the process and the specific steps needed to accomplish your goal. Specific shapes are used to represent the type of action to be taken. It won’t be long before you become proficient at using both of these great programmer’s tools. (Flowcharting software is NOT required for this class. If you have Microsoft PowerPoint or Visio, you can use either of those. If not, your instructor will recommend a number of FREE and affordable software applications.) [Read more…]

English | Size: 2.05 GB (2,205,644,386 bytes )
Category: Tutorial

How can we capture the unpredictable evolutionary and emergent properties of nature in software? How can understanding the mathematical principles behind our physical world help us to create digital worlds? This book focuses on a range of programming strategies and techniques behind computer simulations of natural systems, from elementary concepts in mathematics and physics to more advanced algorithms that enable sophisticated visual results. Readers will progress from building a basic physics engine to creating intelligent moving objects and complex systems, setting the foundation for further experiments in generative design. Subjects covered include forces, trigonometry, fractals, cellular automata, self-organization, and genetic algorithms. The book’s examples are written in Processing, an open-source language and development environment built on top of the Java programming language. [Read more…]

Introduction to ARM : samples , source codes , labs and videos

English | Size: 3.32 GB (3,566,237,850 Bytes)
Category: Tutorial

ARM processors are becoming ubiquitous in mobile devices today with RISC processors making a comeback for their applications in low power computing environments. With major operating systems choosing to run on these processors including the latest Windows RT, iOS and Android, understanding the low level operations of these processors can serve to better understand, optimize and debug software stacks running on them. This class builds on the Intro to x86 class and tries to provide parallels and differences between the two processor architectures wherever possible while focusing on the ARM instruction set, some of the ARM processor features, and how software works and runs on the ARM processor.

Go is an amazing choice for a language as it was developed by some of the same individuals who created the C programming language, Unix, and UTF-8 – some of the most influential contributions to computer science. In this course we will learn about the Go programming language from Google. In this couse, the trainer would be using Notepad++ and Go’s official interpreter i.e. our basic command prompt to convert compiled languages. There are different compilers and IDEs out there which you can use instead. But this course was specifically written keeping basic and experienced programmers in mind. So, if you are experienced, then you can surely use IDEs like Intellij IDEA platform instead of the basic interpreter and notepad++. [Read more…]
