CGCircuit – PyroFluid – Master the Elements

Welcome to Pyrofluid – Unleash the Elements. In this course we harness the power of Houdini to move data between different solvers to have a pyro explosion morph into a fluid simulation. We’ll start by exploring how to develop an effect like this in a simple scene, then we start building the environment, develop the look of our sim and add all of the additional elements requires before we move over to lighting, shading and compositing it.

You’ll learn many production proven techniques on how to optimize your simulations and renders, speed up your workflow while creating this FX heavy scene. The shot is build up of a lot of individual elements and we’ll go into depth on how each of them is made.

Requirements for this course:

-Basic understanding of Houdini (if you’re new to houdini I recommend watching Howdini101 first)
-Houdini 18.0 (Indie or FX)
-Redshift Render (I use Redshift 3 but demo will also work)
-Blackmagic fusion (for compositing, you can download this for free here)
