Buyers will base the value of your business on a two-part formula:

1) your company’s pre-tax earnings, or simply “cash flow”, multiplied by
2) a multiple (usually 2x to 3x)
In fact. it’s very common for people to sell their Amazon FBA business for 2x – 3x yearly profits.

Now, I know selling your business for a multiple of the profits may sound strange to you.

Because it’s not like you can go to your boss and say, “Hey boss, I’d like to quit my job, could you please write me a check for triple my annual salary?”…

But this is a very common practice in the business world.

The reason you can sell a business, and not a job, is because the business is still valuable after it exchanges ownership.

If you sold your Amazon FBA business, the new owners of the business would still make money.

So, let’s say you were able to build up an Amazon business to just $100,000 in profit per year…

In this example, you stand a remarkably good chance of selling that business for as much as $300,000 or in some cases much more!

And the new owners of the business would be happy to pay your asking price because they can further expand your business, in ways that you may not be able to, or many not want to.
