Dr. Lee Pulos is a clinical psychologist who earned his undergraduate degree at U.C.L.A. and his Doctorate in Psychology at the University of Denver. Upon graduation he held a clinical appointment at Indiana University Medical School and was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin. Lee has been awarded a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and is currently Clinical Assistant Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
In 1970, Lee launched his career as a business man and entrepreneur. He and his brothers started The Old Spaghetti Factory chain – a venture that prospered to become a 23 million dollar a year, 22 location operations in Canada, the United States and Australia. Lee served as the Chief Operating Officer before selling it to The Keg restaurant chain in 1980.
Lee traveled and researched cross-cultural tradition healing practices in Brazil, West Africa, India, the Philippines and Mexico and has blended his experience with the western model of mind / body healing.
In addition to his clinical interests, Lee has served as Sport Psychologist for Team Canada, and has worked with dozens of Olympic and world class athletes and NHL Hockey teams such as the Edmonton Oilers and the Vancouver Canucks.
Lee has conducted over 200 corporate seminars for Fortune 500 companies on Qualities of High Performance Persons, The Power of Visualization, and The Role of Intuition in Decision Making. He was managing partner of Omega Seminars (Bellevue, Washington), where he trained other seminar leaders and taught a number of public seminars on Peak Performance, goal setting and self-esteem psychology.
Lee has published eight professional articles in scientific journals and has written two books, Miracles and Other Realities and Beyond Hypnosis (Omega Press, 1991). Lee has also written a biography about the extraordinary talent of Adam McLeod, Dreamhealer. Adam is an outstanding and gifted healer that Dr. Pulos has had the pleasure of working with, resulting in the forthcoming book about Adam titled – Visions Of The Future Mind.
Lee has been a guest lecturer on several occasions for the Young President’s Organization and presented professional training workshops in Rio de Janeiro, the San Francisco Academy of clinical Hypnosis in the West, and has been featured and profiled in numerous national TV and radio shows, business magazines and newspapers throughout North America.
He is the past president of the BC Psychological Association, President of the Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis (B.C.) and conducts ongoing training for health-care professionals.
