GNS3 VMs for both ESX and Workstation along with GNS3 settngs to use. (in preferences, choose import settings. For the remote VM, you will need to replace the Host, look for 1.2.3.4 IP).

This is based on 1.4RC2:

If you didn’t followed latest GNS News, they now provide a VM that can run QEMU, IOU, and other stuff, while being controlled from GNS3 GUI on your machine.
That is either you use a remote server (and put the VM on ESX), or use a local VM with workstation / fusion. The Configuration is still made from your machine, but the virtual appliances runs within the VM.

Notes:

The ubuntu VM is cloud version and I could not find credentials, it seems you need to ssh to it using RSA Key, so I am not using it but left the image there anyway.
The WIN7 Image password details:

All password are default, that is cisco/cisco or admin/admin.

For the VM, user is gns3 with pass gns3
For IPS, user is cisco and password ciscoips4215
