The Linux command line supports numerous commands. These commands can be used to do everything in the system from the time of login to the time of logout or shutdown of the system.
Linux commands can be used to manage files and directories, which is the main purpose with users. Management of files in Linux includes modifying their contents, moving them to other directories, renaming them, as well as creation and deletion of the same files. These tasks can all be achieved via the command line. Creation of directories, changing of directories, and deletion can also be achieved via the command line.
