“My first film at the National Film School. Started as a student exercise and became this film a year later. Mixture of black and white and color, learned about interviewing and working with synch sound.
Nick Broomfield is a brilliant but criminally under-rated documentary maker.
His style certainly invokes memories of the better known Louis Theroux and Jon Ronson, except Nick has been active since 1973 and must surely have been a huge influence on the pair.

These rips are from his DVD collection, a 12 disc compilation of most of his work.
People may be familiar with some of his work – he did two landmark documentaries with Aileen Wuornos, one around the time of her execution, he investigated the murders of Biggie and Tupac, he profiled Kurt and Courtney, and he visited Eugene Terre’Blanche twice 15 years apart.
Unfortunately, not much of his body of work is on sites like this despite it being readily commercially available. I found that frustrating, because I was a huge fan of what I had seen. I took the plunge in buying my first DVDs for a decade and upping them here. Please spread far and wide and get more people into this legend and pioneer.
I will be uploading all the content from this collection in individual torrents, skipping those that already exist (and are seeded) on here – namely Whicker’s War and The Leader, His Driver And The Driver’s Wife. I will be staggering the releases for optimal upload speeds. It’ll be nearly 20gb in total for 15 documentaries.
I’m hoping they will all download into a folder called ‘Nick Broomfield’ however I’m new to this so I might get it wrong.
