English | Size: 727 MB
Category: Documentary
From the photographer who brought us the images of the Allied troops landing at Omaha Beach. Capa’s blurred & shaky Omaha images are said to have resulted from a “hot” drying cabinet at the processing lab. Regardless, these awesome images subsequently inspired Steven Spielberg’s opening sequence in “Saving Private Ryan”.
Capa himself is worthy of a Hollywood cowboy film.
Along with Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and David “Chim” Seymour, Robert Capa helped form the prestigious Magnum photo agency in 1947.
In this documentary Cartier-Bresson even graces us with an interview in English about his friend Robert Capa.
