Learning path description

This learning path begins with a deep dive into the 220-901 exam. Hardware makes up the majority of 220-901, but the exam also covers networking, mobile devices, and hardware and network troubleshooting. These topic areas combined comprise the knowledge needed to begin a career in IT.

The second exam that makes up the A+ is the 220-902, which primarily highlights software. However, it also covers operating systems like Windows, Mac and Linux, as well as security and operational procedures. These concepts build upon those introduced in the previous exam with the shared objective of measuring the competency of an entry-level IT professional.

The 220-901 and 220-902 exams are updated versions of the 220-801 and 220-802 exams. Together, the 220-901 and 220-902 complete the A+ certification. As you can see above, this series has been divided into two-parts in order to prepare and review one exam at a time.
