This film, an independent production by cameraman and film-maker Tom Tanquary, is an attempt to capture the flavor of Peter Kingsley’s work and of the timeless tradition he speaks for.

Based on footage recorded at an extraordinary four-day event with Peter at the Abode of the Message in New Lebanon, upstate New York, it includes interviews with several well-known figures  including Huston Smith, Pir Zia Inayat Khan, Gregory Shaw and Cynthia Bourgeault. The film can serve as a helpful introduction for those not already familiar with the general scope and significance of Peter Kingsley’s teaching. It also presents in visual form a simple point of access to some of the essential practices of this ancient tradition, such as incubation and the practice of “common sense.” [Read more…]
