English | Size: 2.94 GB
Category: Networking
This course will prepare the CCNP candidate/learner to master the topic of Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN). The course will start with a coverage of the background/history of DMVPN, why DMVPN has become a replacement for legacy technologies like Frame Relay, and progress through each of the different “phases” of DMVPN to include an exhaustive look at the use of DMVPN with dynamic routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols with coverage for both IPv4 and IPv6. We will discuss the Next Hop Resolution Protocol (NHRP) as well as multipoint Generic Routing Encapsulation (mGRE) interfaces and their role in the DMVPN architecture. IPSec will be integrated to demonstrate how to secure communications over the DMVPN cloud. The course will address a number of “real-world” use cases for which DMVPN could be considered a viable solution and how those architectures would be implemented. We will conclude the course with a look at “Front-Door VRF” and how DMVPN integrates into this solution. [Read more…]
